WHAT’S NEW

2020/21 Season Information

There have been several inquiries regarding the upcoming season and club registration. HCCSC is definitely planning on going ahead with the season and our race team is already training with appropriate Return to Sport protocols for COVID-19 in place. We are currently developing plans and protocols for our other programs in coordination with input and guidelines from many other organizations such as viaSport, Cross Country BC, Cross Country Canada and Cypress. As a result, we have delayed the start of our registration for this season while we finalize this.

We are hoping to open early registration towards the end of September or early October. The registration open period may be shorter than it has been in past seasons so keep an eye out for your family’s Registration Notification email, which will have the link to this year’s registration. Also check this website regularly for further information.

COVID-19 and the HCCSC Return to Sport Plan

Hollyburn is adopting the Cross Country BC Return to Sport Plan, with one adjustment. The seventh item under Group Training on page 3 will be adjusted with the addition of the highlighted text as follows:  “Where possible, parking is limited to every second slot to allow for physical distancing.” This currently applies mainly to race team athletes and should be reviewed by all those returning to training. It will be updated accordingly as the COVID-19 situation changes and the executive will provide further details. To view the plan, click here.

Please note the requirement to complete the online participant agreement before taking part in any further club group training sessions and other activities.
