WHAT’S NEW
Cross Country Canada Recognition!
Congratulations to the following athletes who have been recognized by Cross Country Canada for their outstanding results. All of us can take pride in these accomplishments for they show how strong our club is as a whole. Having four athletes achieve this high level is evidence that all our coaches and teammates are doing a great job and many of our other athletes are not far off this level.
Junior National Team – The top Junior skiers in Canada (6 male, 6 female)
Katie Weaver – Katie distinguished herself with 4 medals as a Junior Woman in Noram races (2 golds and 2 silvers)
Annika Richardson – Annika had an awesome year that included representing Canada at the Youth Olympic games in Lillehammer, Norway.
“Next Gen” Designation – This group of 16-19 year olds will be given special training opportunities to help their progression towards becoming high performance athletes.
Jenna Sim – Jenna had consistently high results as a Junior Girl including 2nd overall aggregate at Nationals.
Anna Goodwin – Anna was one of the top Junior Girls and raced in Europe as part of the CCC Junior B Tour.
Kieran Lumb Wins the Red Bull 400!

Jake Weaver 2016 CCC Volunteer of the Year!
With great pride, Hollyburn Cross Country Ski Club would like to congratulate Jake Weaver, our fabulous head coach, on winning the 2016 Cross Country Canada Volunteer of the Year award.
Awarded to men or women who have made a significant contribution to the local, regional or national development of cross country skiing — individuals who have gone “that extra mile” in their volunteer contribution to their club or division or on a national committee or board.
Hollyburn is so very lucky to have both Jake and Birgit Weaver — who have both contributed countless hours to our club.
