A special opportunity for Track Attack Skiers!

Please join us for a Ski Day with BC Ski Team Athletes on Sunday, December 22, 2024 

We are excited to announce that our club was awarded a 2024/25 Kal Tire Grant to connect Track Attack skiers with senior BC Ski Team skiers from the club. Aidan Hay, Dustin Hay, Ryan Goodwin, Lucas Gitt, and Anna Segelken will guide skiers through a fun afternoon of skill development followed by hot chocolate for a Q&A session. 

Each coach will lead a group of 5 Track Attack athletes in a training session and will be accompanied by a volunteer TA coach.

The on-snow session will be held at WOP on Sunday Dec 22 @ 10:30 – 12:30 followed by a 1 hour online ‘ask me anything’ session . 

If interested,  please register at: https://forms.gle/FvhT6HanPG78U13i6.  BEFORE DECEMBER 20th.  The maximum number of skiers will be capped at 25 in order to allow for small group sizes. Registration will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis.

A Special Zoom Session for Track Attack Athletes
Sunday, December 15, 2024 at 4-5 pm.
 
Please join us in welcoming Aidan and Dustin Hay for an informal discussion of their student athlete experiences at two post secondary institutions. They will share how they selected where they study and race, their perspective on the benefits of being a student athlete, their best tips for balancing academic and athletics, and the importance of their support network. There will be a Q&A session with Aidan and Dustin after their presentation providing attendees the opportunity to pepper Aidan and Dustin for all the advice you could possibly need.
 
Aidan Hay and Dustin Hay are pursuing undergraduate degrees while competing in the NCAA at American colleges. Aidan is a second year student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks majoring in Civil Engineering.  Aidan is an alumni of the Hollyburn Race Team, member of the BC Ski Team and the Alaska Nanooks Nordic Ski Team.  Dustin is a sophomore (2nd year) student at Dartmouth University with an interest in Environmental Studies.  Dustin is an alumni of the Hollyburn Race Team, a member of the BC Ski Team and the Big Green Ski Team.
